What are Omega-3 fatty acids and what are the benefits?

What is Omega-3 fatty acids?
Omega-3 fatty acids are the unsaturated fat style (unsaturated fat) that the body needs and cannot be produced by the body so that it needs to be derived from the food consumed.

Types of Omega-3 fatty acids
There are three main styles of omega-3 fatty acids used by the human body. Alpha-linolenic acid, ALA, if consumed in food can be transformed by our body into eicosapentanoate acid (eicosapentaenoic acid, EPA) and Dokodaheksanoat (Docosahexaenoic, DHA). These fatty acids are unsaturated fats (polyunsaturated fat, PUFA) which are considered as good fats as opposed to saturated fats (saturated fat) and trans fat.

Foods that contain Omega-3Fatty acid omega-3 fatty acids are widely contained in many varieties of food styles both derived from vegetable ingredients and derived from animal food ingredients. Some foodstuffs are known to have many omega-3 fatty acids in the following.
• Fish oil such as salmon oil, sardine, mackerel, herring, and tuna.
• Vegetable oil such as olive oil, soybean oil, kanola oil, and flaxseed oil.
• Fatty fish such as salmon, sardine, mackerel, tuna, herring, and anchovies.
• Green vegetables such as broccoli, kale, and onion perai.
• Nuts such as soy, peanut, edamame, and chickpeas.
• Grains such as almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and flaxseed.
• Fruits such as strawberry, guava, and avocado.

Benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids
Omega-3 fatty acids are known to possess many benefits for body fitness. Some benefits of omega-3s lower blood pressure, prevent allergies, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, help with disease and wound treatment, balance blood glucose levels, fight depression, prevent cancer, and so on.
